Luke Driver has been mixing since he was six, with house, trance and techno at the centre of a lifelong love of electronic music.

Born in the early 1980s, he spent a year persuading his parents before getting his first decks for Christmas at six. Hearing Pete Tong’s Essential Selection in his dad’s car on the M25 sparked another obsession. The show became regular listening and helped shape a passion for electronic music that has stayed with him ever since.

Luke is best known for his love of dance music, but his sets can go almost anywhere. His sound runs from house grooves and euphoric trance to driving techno and dance anthems, with an unexpected 80s hook or film theme sometimes finding its way in. He has also been commissioned to create remixes, and his creative mixing and live re-edits are a hallmark of his open-format work. Even classical music isn't entirely safe: every now and then, he gives it a kick drum and sends it to a rave.

Before leaving school, Luke was DJing at a local roller-skating rink. Local radio followed, then he helped establish Suffolk College Alternative Music (SCAM Radio) and spent two years as its first head of music while continuing his studies at University College Suffolk.

Luke has played hundreds of venues across the UK, France, Spain and Italy, including a decade DJing in Ibiza. His experience spans club main rooms, big rooms and daytime beach sets, each with its own atmosphere and pace.

He founded The Event DJs, where he remains the main DJ and sets the musical standard. At its events, Luke encourages guest requests and folds them into the music live. He has become known for his inventive open-format mixing, especially at 80s, 90s and Ibiza Anthems nights. Each night moves beyond a standard playlist: songs are blended and remixed on the spot, keeping the energy high and the dancefloor full.
